The Island is a great place to explore even without a car

On foot/sustainable transport

The hovercraft from Southsea (www.hovertravel.com) and fastcat (www.wightlink.co.uk) from Portsmouth Harbour  Station are around a 15 minute walk either up Spencer Road (costal path) or up through the town or a few minutes on the no9 bus alighting at St Vincent’s - we are working with our sustainable transport providers to offer you a discount on travel

Getting to Ryde using sustainable transport 

We thank you for arriving by sustainable transport (without a motor car) by offering an item of local produce (on receipt of travel ticket)

By car 

On the wightlink ferry from portsmouth to fishbourne and then a 10 minute drive  

Red funnel ferries (www.redfunnel.co.uk) from Southampton to East Cowes - discount codes available on request 

Drive towards Ryde, Gwydyr House is on the left after the Golf club and a row of houses and before Gwydyr Close

 

Parking

There is room for 2 cars directly in front of the house, one each side of the entrance to the left of the drive  

Electric Charging Point

There are a few electric charging points on the island, the closest is by the Hover car park in Ryde, 1.2 miles drive away.
