Getting to Ryde on foot/sustainable transport

The hovercraft from Southsea (www.hovertravel.com) and fastcat (www.wightlink.co.uk) from Portsmouth Harbour  Station are around a 15 minute walk either up Spencer Road (costal path) or up through the town or a few minutes on the no9 bus alighting at St Vincent’s - we are working with our sustainable transport providers to offer you a discount on travel

On the Wightlink ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and then a 10-minute drive - 15% discount code available on request

Drive towards Ryde, Gwydyr House is on the left after the Golf club and a row of houses and before Gwydyr Clos.e

 

Parking at the holiday cottages

There is room for two cars directly in front of the house, one on each side of the entrance to the left of the drive.  

 

Electric Charging Point

We have an electric charging point being installed at our cottages in September 2025. Ask us for details.

There are a few electric charging points on the island; the closest is by the Hover car park in Ryde, 1.2 miles away.
