The Island is a great place to explore even without a car
On foot/sustainable transport
The hovercraft from Southsea (www.hovertravel.com) and fastcat (www.wightlink.co.uk) from Portsmouth Harbour Station are around a 15 minute walk either up Spencer Road (costal path) or up through the town or a few minutes on the no9 bus alighting at St Vincent’s - we are working with our sustainable transport providers to offer you a discount on travel
We thank you for arriving by sustainable transport (without a motor car) by offering an item of local produce (on receipt of travel ticket)
On the wightlink ferry from portsmouth to fishbourne and then a 10 minute drive
We have partnered with Atlas Ferries to be able to offer our guests a ferry discount. Please go to the following website www.atlasferries.co.uk/ferry-enquiry2 and fill in your requirements. Atlas Ferries will then come back to you with an offer of the best available crossing and price as well as booking details. Their discounts are usually very good and are always the flexible / refundable type and are our preferred supplier.
Red funnel ferries (www.redfunnel.co.uk) from Southampton to East Cowes - discount codes available on request
